This site contains information on the VanHook (or Van Hook) and associated families that are descended from (or connected to) Arent Isaacszen van Hoeck (born about 1623 - died about 1697). Arent was originally from Hooksiel, Germany, and emigrated from Amsterdam, Netherlands to New Amsterdam (now New York City) in 1655.
