- VAN HOOK, Rosemary, 74, Norfleet Drive, Somerset, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at The Highlands Assisted Care in Somerset. She was born in the Ruth community May 1, 1928, daughter of the late Adrian and Rosetta Alexander Colyer. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree and a school teacher with the Pulaski County School System. She was also a member of Somerset First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons, Gary (and Gretchen) Colyer, Seattle Wash., Larry (and Linda) Van Hook, Somerset, and Ben (and Judy) Van Hook, Science Hill; a daughter, Teresa (and Glen) Goldenberg, Louisville; a brother, Noel Colyer, Zainesville, Ohio; a sister, Leara Sears, Rensselear, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Van Hook, whom she married in 1946, in Rosewell, Ga., and who died in April 1986; her parents; and a sister, Bernice Glover. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 22), at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doug Wilcox officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today until time for services.
