Married:
- The marriage of Robert Cumming and Mary (Maria) Van Hook is not confirmed. Some sources ("New Aberdeen, Or, The Scotch Settlement of Monmouth County, New Jersey," by James Steen, 1899, also repeated in "History of Old Tennent Church" by Symmes) state that Robert Cumming's first wife was a "Miss Blair" the sister of Reverend Samuel Blair.
