      (note: It is suspected that John Gisbertson Jr. was a descendant of Jan Gysbertsen van Meteren, who immigrated from the province of Gelderland, Holland, to New Utrecht, Kings Co., NY (present day Brooklyn) in 1663, then later to Monmouth Co., NJ).

      18 Feb 1750-51 Van Hook. Henry, of Upper Freehold. Monmouth Co., yeoman: will of. Wife, Deborah. Son, Lawrence, half of land near Manalapan, adjoining Thomas Hankinson; other half to Lawrence's uncle, Aaron Van Hook. Son, Benjamin, land bought of John Nesmith, at Middletown Point. When, son, Isaac is of age, testator's dwelling house and lot, in Allenstown, to be sold and money to testator's wife, and to sons, William, Samuel and Isaac. Executors— wife, and son Lawrence. Witnesses— Ephraim Robins, Benjamin Allen, William Lawrence. Proved March 7, 1750. Lib. 6, p. 419.

      (Note: while Henry was living in Allentown, in Upper Freehold, at his death - located in far southwest Monmouth County, he also owned land in Matawan (called Middletown Point) at the far northern point of Monmouth that he left to his son, Benjamin)
