      Mrs. Zerelda VanHook d. Wednesday at the home of her son, C. E. VanHook in Cynthiana. Buried in Battle Grove. Formerly Zerelda Ashcraft, age nearly 73 years. b. May 1837, m. James H. VanHook about 50 years ago. He died 4 years ago. Survived by sons: Frank VanHook of Alberta, Kansas; Rolla and C. E. VanHook of Cynthiana, two daughters, Mrs. Everett Allen of Harrison Co. and Mrs. Oscar Herrington of Washburn, WI.

      (note - obit is in error on son Frank. He was living in Alberta, Canada)
