      1 NOTE Ann Jones was described by the author of "The Mourning FamilyBook" as a 'sweet, sincere Christian gentlewoman.' She died at the home of Joseph Carrol Teas.

      BURIAL: Died age 79, per cemetary records. Bethel Cemetary is South and 1 miles west of Saxonburg, KS - 9 miles South of Moram, KS. (M.W.)

      Mrs. Ann Mourning, (nee Jones), was born Pulaski county, KY.,Dec. 18th,
      1810, died in Neosho county, Kansas, August 8, 1889 at the residence of her
      daughter, Mrs. Teas.

      She was married to Lewis Mourning, October 1, 1830, who preceeded
      her to a better land. They moved to McDonough county, Ill, in1834, thence
      to Kansas in 1868. She was the mother of 12 children--5 sons and 7
      daughters--9 of whom survive her being present in her last sickness and death.

      In her death the M.E. church loses an honored and worthy member.She was
      ready & willing to go home.

      Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. R. Leigh, before a large concourse
      of relatives and friends, who followed her remains to city of the dead.
