- Thelma Van Hook May 1918-July 2016
Thelma went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday July 27, 2016. She is proceeded in death by her husband Russell E. Van Hook Sr. and granddaughters Lisa G. Roark and Robin D. Proctor. She has left to cherish her memory 4 children, Betty Tinley (Herb), Judy Corsaro (Frank), Diana Proctor (Chuck) and Russell E. Van Hook Jr. (Jan), 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Thelma was born in Lincoln County Kentucky to Oscar and Clara Sims on May 24, 1918. Thelma married Russell Van Hook on December 23, 1939 and moved to Indianapolis in 1942. The family relocated to Byland Drive in Beech Grove, Indiana where Thelma remained until moving into assisted living at Beech Grove Meadows in 2008 where she resided until her death.
Thelma was a devout Christian and anyone that knew her knew that she loved her Lord and her family. Thelma was a founding member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and many friends
Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Funeral Service immediately following at 1:00pm.
